MEET YOUR NEXT LOCAL FIND

Find a place.
Ask what matters.

Openbookly brings map search and AI conversations together. Find a business, open its card, and ask a question before you visit or get in touch.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

From looking to learning.

  1. 01

    Search the map

Search for a business or type of place, explore a category, or browse an area. Select a result or a place on the map to open its business card. Map information comes from map providers and may change or be incomplete.

  2. 02

    Open the business conversation

Use the Ask option on the selected business card. Start with “What should I know before visiting?” or type your own question. You can keep asking follow-up questions in that conversation without signing in.

  3. 03

Read with the source in mind

For a claimed business, answers use information supplied by its owner. For an unclaimed business, answers use existing AI knowledge unless you explicitly ask for an online lookup. Confirm important details such as current hours, prices, availability, and accessibility directly with the business.

  4. 04

    Choose whether to follow up

To ask for a reply from the business, choose Request follow-up and share your preferred contact details with consent. You can include details about your request. This is separate from asking the AI and does not make a booking or guarantee a response.

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE READING

Where the answers come from.

Being on the map does not mean a business has joined Openbookly. The source of an answer depends on whether its owner has claimed it.

A business that has joined

The assistant uses knowledge supplied by the owner, such as services, policies, or FAQs. Answers based on that knowledge show “Based on information provided by the business.”

When no relevant owner knowledge is available, the response is labeled AI guidance. The assistant does not search the web for these conversations. An owner may not have provided every detail, and AI answers can still be incorrect.

A business that has not joined

The assistant uses existing model knowledge and the selected business identity. It may lack current or business-specific details. These answers are not statements approved by that business.

To request a web lookup, explicitly say something like “Search online for this business.” in your current message. Available source links appear with online answers. Simply asking about current hours or pricing does not start a web search.

An ownership claim uses confirmed email and the owner’s declaration. It is not independent verification. A gold star identifies active Premium access, not a rating or endorsement.

YOU CHOOSE THE NEXT STEP

A question can become
a conversation.

Request follow-up when you want the business to contact you. Choose the name, email address or phone number you want to share, and give explicit consent. Signing in alone does not share your email with a business.

For a claimed business, your request becomes available in its owner inbox. For an unclaimed listing, it waits until an owner joins. A follow-up request does not send an email on your behalf, and a reply or response time is not guaranteed.
